Dear Hannah, I was thinking about how I could come alongside you as you prepare for your wedding after we talked today on our walk, and I thought I'd make a little wedding countdown blog sending you something each week to let you know I'm praying for you in this very exciting season. Anyway, so welcome to the "Celebrating July 12th" blog for you where I'll be sharing a poem or a quote or a verse for you each week for the next 12 weeks until your wedding. a prayer for love, love, love - Kate Bowler Lord, the shadowed world is full of troubles. She was looking through The Jesus Storybook Bible that she had heard me read countless times when she zeroed in on this picture. She told me that she felt she was the little girl who was running toward God the Father in the picture. Not only was this a defining moment in her own faith, but it became a specific marker for the direction I want my focus to be: to turn toward God rather than to be overwhelmed by anything that might close my heart to Him. This picture h...
